Cuddly Companions on
Canvas

Creativity is a gift which Ann Marie Nitti, freelance artist and owner of
her own decorative painting business manifests in her daily work. When she
is not painting or designing murals, Ann Marie applies her talent to painting
animal portraits.
Raised in a pet loving household with a Beagle, parakeets, a hamster, goldfish,
turtles and a salamander, AnnMarie was never at a loss for subjects to practice
her talents on. According to Ann Marie, her spare time as a child was spent
either sketching her own pets or animals from magazines.
Unable to find her niche in the average nine to five working world, Ann
Marie took on a new enterprise and created a small business in decorative
painting. When she is not busy applying her talents to canvas or designing
murals, Ann Marie uses her gift to capture a beloved pet's personality on
canvas. Nitti says, "with all the versatility in art, nothing compares to
the connection and feeling I get when I'm drawing animals. Every living
creature has a personality of its own." Nitti says she enjoys capturing
the animal's individual expression in her work, but most rewarding is the
reaction from their owners upon seeing the finished product. With that,
she knows that she has touched home.
A mother and an artist, Ann Marie's family unit also consists of a longhaired
dapple dachshund, named Dea and a hamster named Benny.
