The San Francisco SPCA has been at the forefront of the animal welfare movement since 1868. Historically during this time, their mission has included everything from protecting 19'Th century workhorses to reducing today's euthanasia rates. Now at the dawning of a new Millennium, the SPCA goes one step further. Recognizing the growing interest in the interconnectedness of the human mind, body and spirit, and its subsequent movement to redefine the healing relationship between human beings and other living creatures, the SF/SPCA has launched this groundbreaking conference. The Kinship With All Life conference will be presented July 8-10 in San Francisco, CA. The conference's purpose is to re-define our relationship with animals and nature, and start the shift towards a more respectful relationship with all of Earth's inhabitants. The conference will include stories, teachings, research and experiences with animals. because Presenters include respected representatives from the fields of human and veterinary medicine, environment and conservation, science, religion and spirituality, philosophy, art, and music.
